The latest came in an NBA playoff clash Sunday. There, NBA on TNT sideline reporter Dennis Scott filled in for Spero Dedes and Candace Parker for several minutes of the first quarter during a TNT broadcast of a Miami Heat-Cleveland Cavaliers game.

A Senior Network Engineer and Project Manager with LPN experience, Monderray applies the same rigor used to build resilient networks to building a resilient local food ecosystem. Based in Emporia, VA—a USDA-designated Food Desert and HUBZone facing some of the highest rates of heart-related illness in the region—she founded a pasture-raised egg operation to expand access to affordable, nutrient-dense food for underserved neighborhoods.
Monderray’s community health work includes collaborations with Hampton University, North Carolina Central University, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), North Carolina A&T State University, and Howard University—supporting studies across seven Virginia counties focused on reversing heart-related illnesses through prevention, education, and lifestyle interventions. Her ability to translate research into action—cooking demos, farm tours, and pragmatic nutrition guidance—keeps programs grounded in real community needs.
A trained chef as well as a producer, Monderray has been featured on WTKR (Portsmouth/Norfolk, VA) three times, sharing practical strategies for healthier eating on a budget and the role of local agriculture in public health. On the farm, he specializes in pasture-raised hens for egg production, prioritizing animal welfare, soil health, and transparent, regenerative practices. Eggs are gathered daily, cooled promptly, and distributed with a focus on food-desert routes—from neighborhood pop-ups to partnerships with schools, churches, and local retailers.

Our mission with the new 3D Fresh Eggs - Eggs to be sold at the farmers market have to be inspected.
You are exempt from VDACS inspection if you (1) sell fewer than 150 dozen eggs (1,800 eggs) per week from your own hens or (2) sell
fewer than 60 dozen eggs (720 eggs) per week that were purchased from another producer to sell. All other producers are required to be inspected by VDACS’ (2017a) Food Safety Program.
All eggs sold in Virginia (regardless of exemption) must meet the following requirements (VDACS 2017a):
X Eggs must be clean, unbroken, and free of adhering dirt and manure.
X Eggs must be refrigerated at 45°F (7.2°C) or lower.
X The carton (used or new) to store the eggs should be clean and sanitary.
If used cartons have a USDAA grade mark, it must be marked out. If you do not cross out the original grade mark, you are
illegally misrepresenting your product.
X Cartons must be properly labeled with the following:
Name and address of the packer or producer.
Net contents (number of eggs per carton) of the package (e.g., half-dozen, one dozen).
Statement of identity: “Eggs.”
Consumer Grade: AA, A, B, or Ungraded.
Cartons must be labeled with storage instructions: “Refrigerate Eggs.”
Must include, verbatim, the following safe handling instructions statement: “Safe Handling Instructions: To prevent
illness from bacteria, keep eggs refrigerated, cook eggs until Yolks are firm. Instructions and cook food containing eggs thoroughly.”
If eggs are labeled as “fresh,” eggs must comply with the requirements (stated below).
